Can't log into Twitch on PS5

There's a new way to log in on PlayStation that's similar to YouTube where you go to their activation site and put in a code. Thing is for me, once you put the code in and authorize the connection nothing happens. I don't know why they did this code thing when just signing in normally is way easier.
