Jeans too big help

So ima short kinda chubby guy and my baggy true religion jeans make me look shorter and bigger I wanna make them a more straight look and shrink the length a bit too, I really don’t wanna fuck these up I paid 160 something and I’m around a size 34 these are size 36ish should I shrink them and how cause I don’t wanna fade them or mess anything up???
