2024 vs 2025 review
I purchased a 2025 a couple weeks ago. Brought it to the dealer to handle some cosmetic issues and was issued a 2024 loaner. This is by no means a comprehensive review, but thought some observations would be helpful since I’ve experienced both so close to each other:
- So glad I waited for the new infotainment! The larger screen and updated UI will extend its visual life. The current UI looks so dated. Do I really need 1/4 of the screen constantly telling me the battery is working? And since 95% of the time I’m using CarPlay, the new infotainment just gets out of the way with its minimal buttons
- Wireless CarPlay by the way is a big daily benefit to not have to think about or look at a cable
- Wow the 2024 backup camera is terrible! I thought 2025’s was bad for the screen size, but 2024 is embarrassing in comparison. Definitely makes me appreciate the 2025 camera.
- The 2025 interior uses leather in a lot more places and is subtly more refined
- Small thing but glad I don’t have to bother with any USB A. Being able to have USB C everywhere in 2025 (except the optional CarPlay connection) is great.
So essentially all the noticeable changes boil down to the upgraded tech — but they’re very noticeable, especially if like me you plan to keep the vehicle for a long time.
