What band has done the most damage to their reputation by reforming?

I don't mean the worst. Like I think the post-Jello Dead Kennedys are the worst, but barely anyone thinks about them, so they haven't really done that much damage to their reputation.

My pick is Lynyrd Skynyrd. As a vocalist Johnny Van Zant is decent enough. He's not as good as his brother of course, he just doesn't have the range, but he's good enough. He should have stuck to refusing to sing Freebird though.

The real issue is that he's a significantly worse lyricist and winds up falling back on a lot of the tropes that people who don't like Skynyrd think Skynyrd is all about. It really is sad to see how long thing has gone on. Granted, I discovered the Drive-by Truckers because they opened for "Lynyrd Skynyrd" when my dad took me to see them when I was 12, and there are a couple of post-Ronnie songs I like, but overall it's been terrible.
