Bonnie and Damon should have been endgame

It was the enemies to lovers we all needed. It would have breathe new life into this dying show.

Bonnie helps Damon grow as a person by holding him accountable and since Bonnie is too self-sacrificing, she benefits from Damon who is unapologetically selfish when it comes to protecting his lover.
