I really think this should be an election/campaign sim
It's not that the RPG element of governing is a bad idea, but I think it inevitably becomes repetitive. However, the developer has a really good foundation for what could be a great election simulation game. You've got the great election night presentation, the map broken down by counties, the issues broken down, etc. The key would really be to focus on integrating demographic data to get it as accurate as possible. I think you'd almost be looking at using a basic model for election forecasting and tweaking it from there?
At any rate, I'm dying for a serious game where I can use my strategery skills to build a winning coalition. (Targeting working class voters in Alleghany County because my internals show we can win there, etc.). Would be amazing.
