Why do so many people think Iroh could beat Ozai?

I’ve been watching and reading a lot of these battle-type scenarios about which character is stronger and I’m so confused as to why so many people think Iroh is stronger than Ozai or would beat him in a battle. It’s pretty clear, to me at least, based off of what we see during the comet and briefly vs Zuko Ozai is way above any other firebender we see including Iroh.

In his fight with Aang, Ozai made him look like a novice bender the whole time until the lightning redirection and him entering the Avatar state. There’s no way Iroh would’ve fought Aang as well as Ozai did. And even just storyline wise it would make no sense for Iroh to be stronger than Ozai, just like how it’s much more understandable to have Azula be more gifted than Zuko.

Edit: Listen, the more I read some of these comments the more I realize how pointless these debates are 😂😂. People hate Ozai so much ( or just love Iroh) that they’ve convinced themselves that he’s just a muscle bound idiot with no skills, which is crazy because every time we see him bend, comet or no comet, he shows supreme firebending prowess. *He’s still the only firebender shown to be able to shoot lightning from both hands simultaneously in the whole Avatar universe.**
