Oberyn raising Aegon, Dany and Viserys

This is a part of my fic in which Aegon survives the Sack of King's Landing because Rhaella sneaked him out of the capital when she was sent to Dragonstone. Elia and Rhaenys still die in this timeline at the hands of both Gregor and Amory, respectively, and Aegon, the one-year-old Aegon, is crowned King on Dragonstone instead of Viserys.

Like his canon counterpart, Oberyn would try to raise Dorne for Aegon and is largely unsuccessful. Since it is known that Aegon is alive, Prince Doran has to give Quentyn up as a hostage in King's Landing, and Robert demands the arrest of Oberyn. However, Doran never intended to arrest Oberyn; instead, he allowed Oberyn and his daughters, Obara, Nymeria, and Tyene, to board a galley and flee to Volantis, where Oberyn meets up with his friend in the Second Sons to hire some swords for their journey to find Aegon. (Note: Officially, Doran tries to arrest Oberyn and his daughters, but they manage to board a ship and escape to Volantis, where they join up with the mercenary company, the Second Sons, and Doran publicly denounces his brother as a traitor.)

Now, this task would take five years or more for Oberyn to find Aegon, the rest of the Targaryens, and the remaining Kingsguard: Gerold, Oswell, and Barristan, in Braavos, as well as Ser Willem Darry. They arrived just as Varys's assassin attempted to kill them and saved them.

Originally, I was planning on making them take a trip to Norvos, where the Targaryens would live under the protection of Lady Mellario. But it would mean that Doran was involved with the plot, and his whole character is to be seen as careful, so any action made by Oberyn would need to be seen as an action that could not be tied back to Doran. This is where I ran into a problem, as I had no idea where they would be going, and Norvos was out of the picture. So it would either be them roaming all over Essos with Oberyn looking out for the three Targaryens while waiting for Robert to kick the bucket, or they would stay in one of the Free Cities in Essos, but at the risk of Varys finding out where they lived.

As for how Aegon, Dany, and Viserys would grow up, I could see Oberyn being close to all three of them, with a major change being both Dany and Viserys. Viserys would probably have his anger issues sorted by Oberyn, and Dany might be treated like the Sand Snake; she might become the Visenya of her time. For Aegon, I don't know much, but Aegon is very much a wild card here since there's not much for his character to go off of since he died in the canon when he was only one. So I need an opinion from Fandom on this one, but one of the ideas that I had is that he will be attracted to Dany, that's for sure.
