2019 Tesla Model 3 died at 101k miles
Hey all! Has anyone had to replace their M3 battery at this mileage?
I bought a used M3 with 47k miles 2 years ago. Used with no issues, mix of supercharging and at home charging.
Then all of a sudden the error message appeared saying that the battery has reached ‘max level’ at 33% and would no longer charge. There were 0 warnings about the battery.
SC confirmed the battery change at $10k. Out of warranty by 1,000 miles.
Is this normal? Not a lot of help online as M3s don’t typically need a replacement at this mileage. Is it worth paying the additional $10k on top of the loan for a car I’ve only had for 2 years
Edit- It’s a standard M3, 5 year/100k warranty Edit- State is CA
