Which characters should I pick?

I am relatively new to the game and I’m thinking of playing some different characters. I’ve been playing Paul because I think he’s cool and I like his move set, I’ve also played a little bit of King but he’s not my favorite. Any suggestions? (preferably someone who is good against Jin, I’m gonna play with my dad eventually and he used to play him a lot)
