Think i might be dropping tekken 8

I feel like I’m just not having fun playing this game anymore. It sucks because i really went down the path of just learning and adapting, and not playing to win, but it just feels like there are just way too many unfair scenarios in this game that ruin my experience.

Dj, Jun, and victor heat practically beg you to just put the controller down and respect the heat while they just bombard u with attacks. What in the actual fuck is the counter play to victors up 1+2 and the other twos heat? Just hold back and wait while you get chipped down? Good shit. I got my victor to Kishin by literally just bullying people while I’m in heat because they’re so scared to press. This shouldn’t be a thing man.

Dj and azuc have no neutral gameplay as they both get in for free. Sidestepping these characters is incredibly difficult against a skilled player that knows how to fake u out. Azuc shouldn’t jail you in the first hit.

Feng, dragunov, and ling leave you in infinite plus frames that beg you to challenge it while you’re left in the bad side of a coin flip for absolutely no reason. Feng, ling, and Dj all have get out of jail free cards with dj’s being almost fcking better than yoshi’s flash as dude just flys in the damn air evading literally everything.

The only counterplay to king is to duck. Yes you can break the grabs, but the grabs are a 50/50. This mind game is insane. I also play king as well.

I just miss when moves had multiple counter plays instead of single counter plays. Where you could side step, duck, or power crush moves. It feels like every character just turned into tekken 7 dlc Leroy and i can’t say i enjoy it anymore.

I do still enjoy some matchups though. Lili, shaheen, kazuya, Jin, hwao(actually don’t mind this dude), law, Lee, Leroy, asuka. Some more that I’m missing, but these characters at least somewhat feel like they’re still playing tekken.

This shit sucks tho, going to dragons dogma 2 and chillen until a substantial balance patch lol.
