How do I separate weapons from Crisis Suits that are glued on?

Hey guys I have a bunch of XV8 Crisis Battlesuits and various commanders which I have brought from a friend and that I had when I was a kid.

I want to remove the weapons on some of them and they have all been glued on with plastic citadel glue. These weapons are located on the arms and shoulders of the suits.

The only thing I have tried is sawing them off with a scalpel but only works with some of them and as you can imagine it's quite messy.

I'm sick of bringing in suits armed with weapons that don't match what's actually on my list so any advice would be appreciated.
