Trouble finding a doctor
I am trying to find a new doctor in town that is closer to where I live but every new doctor keeps declining to see me. I can't be discharged by my current doctor until I have a new one, and my current doctors office said it shouldn't matter anyway whether or not I've been discharged. That's more of an insurance issue. All the doctors I've tried were accepting new patients, so I don't understand what the reasoning might be and they can't tell me. Does anyone have any idea why I would keep being denied?
Edit: I’ve been with the same practice for at least 15 years and I’ve had three different doctors due to resignations. My current doctor is not great. My husband and I both have had issues with her. There have been several things but we both had problems getting prescriptions and she on two occasions gave me false information which led me to driving across town while I was very sick. I did express my concerns to the nurses at one point and the doctor did apologize, but then she gave me false information again, a year later. And to be fair it could be the receptionist and nurses, so we’ve given them the benefit the doubt but things haven’t gotten better since we were switched to her and I just don’t trust her. I’m concerned she’s somehow bad mouthed me to other doctors.
