Why downloads doesn't work on sleep mode?

For some reason, I can't make downloads while the console is on sleep mode now. Apparently there's now an option to make the downloads if there's Ethernet cable connected, but you could make downloads with WiFi before

I think is a 19.0.0 thing, idk
