Some clarifications

Just got my Manta.

Would like to confirm if my experience is normal.

1. The writing is smooth in some areas, and pretty rough in others. Particularly, it is buttery smooth and a pleasure to write somewhere in the middle. However, the writing experience is pretty rough near the edges. Is this normal?

2. Have tried using both the side bar and holding 2 fingers on the screen for the eraser gesture. It does not register these gestures 50% of the time.
