My thoughts on adderall and why it’s abused

Stimulants act as a bridge to get us through our labour. But when you stop and recover, you find that out that bridge isn’t a bridge at all, but a wall.

1798, it was noted by a Scottish professor how some people have trouble with focus

Later hyperkinetic disease was discovered. Children with this condition couldn’t stay still had difficulty following rules and socialisation issues. In addition, on the WebMB page this information comes from: “Most got better as they grew older.”

In 1937, the stimulant called Benzedrine caused some children to behave better. It also improved their school performance. A trademark the early stages of an addictive substances

1980, the condition attention deficit disorder was discovered

Today the fifth edition of the DSM only requires one to exhibit five of 18 possible symptoms to qualify for an ADHD diagnosis.

I honestly find it gross how nothing is ever considered about if the person is going through trauma, a hard time, thoughts or maybe we as a species are not meant to spend the rest of our lives typing and texting out nonsense in a voidless room. I wouldn’t like to be forced to talk to people and fake out enthusiasm and interest. The fact that we’re told to pay for a therapist because it’s a issue if we help each other with our struggles.

I think this quote here, said by u/glutenoid, explains the situation:

“I cannot, as a human being, sit in front of a screen all day, toiling away at meaningless work for a soulless corporation.”

Would you expect your dog to be content with just playing fetch, over and over and over?

Would you expect a elephant to be happy not moving at all, just constantly picking the leaves off a tree branch?

I’m sure when we took adder-all, the thought of typing away on a computer seemed captivating. Now we don’t have that.
