New to the game. A bit overwhelming. Any tips?
So I recently picked up this game, and I've done the tutorials, watched several youtube vids, and dove into AG orsha campaign on the german side. I cant seem to make it past the first battle. There's just so. Much. To. Micro. Every arty, every mortar needs to be fired individually. I basically issue commands with game pauses, let it run at half speed for a couple seconds, then pause and issue new commands constantly. The game is beautiful but I dont really have the chance to zoom in and enjoy it. Obviously the Soviets completely overran the germans in Bagration, so trying to alter that should be difficult. But every post I've seen about defending says it should be a brain dead cake walk. I'm having trouble holding the front line more than 10 minutes. I've played wargame. Thousands of hours in every paradox title. Thousands of hours in just about every RTS going back to the early 90s. SC, WC, C&C. Am I just getting bad in my old age?
