Is the steam deck OLED worth it.

I'm in Australia and in November valve will be releasing the steam deck to Australia I have a laptop msi thin and I'm wondering if it's worth it buying one as I don't always like to play on my laptop due to having to plug it in then turn it on and lunch my game and by then it's been 10 minutes. I'm just asking is it worth the $900 AUD
