Cardless paying method?

Hi, I was wondering why the concept of paying cardless and with faceid/fingerprint/palm scanning isn’t popular (never heard about) or why someone didn’t try do make it real. Think like paypal but in physical places, to touch a glass/reader, it will scan your hand, go into your profile and use the payment method previously selected as default. No more pin, card expiring, frauds by phishing or duplicates. Can’t understand why there isn’t this method in our society. Do you think it is a possible good idea as a startup? Can i give it a shot to try it and maybe sell it?
