Starfighters of Adumar... WHAT A STORY
Was almost about to skip this one after reading the first 8 X-wing books, only started to read it simply for completion sake, but was very much pleasantly surprised by it. The story is fantastic, unraveling Adumar is great with some cool quirks of Adumari culture and technology (dumbest political structure ever but the book deals with it pretty realistically), and Wedge is fantastic. Wedge being faced with a dilemma and trying to do the right thing is so great, and feels almost Star Trek in a way as a sort of first contact episode. Self contained (which is why i almost skipped it) but still incredible
