Update: Do fender flares actually help fitting wider wheels without rubbing?

Turns out I only need flares for appearance as my wheels fit perfectly without rubbing, minus the 2 inches of poke on either side lol.

Thanks u/luigilabomba42069 for the confidence, I think I'm going to continue pursuing this fitment.

Probably gonna need some camber plates.
