Random wrestling question: Do wrestlers also know how to do moves properly?

I know for the entertainment side of things locks and holds are modified to be safe. Chokes are executed without actually restricting airways / blood flow. Armbars and joint locks are often done at a rotated angle as to not hyper extend joints.
I’d imagine most spend their time practicing being fluid and confident executing the modified safe versions, but the actual techniques require some amount of precision and technical knowledge.
I know some come from many different backgrounds (including mma, but etc) but do o wrestlers typically get taught and practice time with full versions of moves?

Edit: I remember Hulk Hogan sleeping a tv presenter but do you think they typically learn: Full dangerous move -> safe variant

Or safe variant -> don’t do this but here because that kills people….
