Starter mold?
Hello all! I come asking for advice on my starter, Franny. She’s about a month old, I’ve made a few loaves with her, but once I returned to my apartment after the holidays, her condition took a turn. I fed her on schedule, even added some rye flour and warm water (since my apartment usually runs colder than home) but she kept developing these hard top layers, and now she’s developed this white that I think may be mold too. I fear her time has come, but I just want to double check with the pros before I say goodbye 😔
