Focus on dog nose?

Hey, so quick question. In this photo I took of my dog with Sony a6400 - sigma 56 1.4 - 1/2000 - 1.4

I kept getting shots where her nose would be slightly blurred. Is the best way for me to correct this in focus? ( I did apply some sharpening on this photo)

And is this something that is generally considered a bad thing in pet photography?
