Real Gemma’s POV

Since Gemma was a hallucination for most of the film, let’s try to see things from the real Gemma’s perspective. Your ex bestie calls you, telling you she wants to talk and apologize, then you get a series of weird text messages from her over the next few days. When you return her call, she asks if you spent the night, and when you say no, she freaks out and hangs up. And some time after that, you hear/see that she has killed herself onstage in front of thousands. If Gemma had actually reached out sooner, would it have made any difference or would the Smile entity use that against her even more?
