Robyn is worried about her image.
I think one of the best things the producers did was separate K&R. Watching his deranged rants on the couch without Sobbyn controlling him has been eye opening.
I’m not sure I ever realized how controlling Sobbyn is. Kody is about to start ranting about Christine and David’s wedding, and one look from Sobbyn and he stops dead in his tracks. “Aren’t we just so happy for them?!” He then goes, “I’m trying to finish my story,” “We’re just SO happy for them, right?!” And he swallows what he’s going to say and agrees.
Upon further reflection, after he left the house after their fight. I don’t think the original fight was about Kody seeing his kids. I think she knows how bad they look, and she’s telling him to reach out to save their image. Kody in his rage can’t do that because he’s the victim to his children, not them, so saving his image isn’t at the top of his to do list. I look at that scene a lot differently now. I was happy when she said she was losing respect for him as a dad, but I think that was just for the cameras. She’s protecting her image.
