what happened to iMark’s “find ms. casey” crusade? how can they possibly resolve this show?
I was expecting more of a reaction from iMark finding out the truth about ms. casey, but it seemed to take a back burner to all the other shit that went down. I feel like if you put the episode of him making the “find ms. casey” posters next to the finale, his reaction is a little underwhelming.
I guess in this weird mind-bendy way it’s really ms. casey that innie that iMark cares about finding, and his concern is within the confines of the innie world. he cared about what happened to ms. casey because it was a threat to the innies, so he would maybe fight for her right to exist, but not so much gemma’s.
I wonder if the writers feel like they’ve written themselves into a completely unresolvable catch-22 with this innie-outie concept because when you think about it too much, it really just breaks your brain.
maybe in the end lumon’s experiments can be taken to create new vessels for an innie’s consciousness so they can exist as their own person. I don’t think that’ll actually happen or make for a good finale, but it seems like it would be the only actual way to resolve the show’s core dilemma.
