Advise on where in the city to move

I am a 25y/o F moving to Seattle in the end of June, and am going to have to pick a rental without having ever been to the city, or viewing it. I would prefer to be IN Seattle. I like there to be a lot to do right around me, or within a 15ish minute drive. I am not very familiar with the neighborhoods, and their reputation so I was hoping to get some advise on areas I should check out apartments in, and areas to avoid to be safe. I am looking for a 1-2 bedroom and to stay around $1750 a month, which I know is hit or miss. I have a brother in Everett, I want to stay within about 45 minutes from him, so not too far south. Any advise is greatly appreciated, and if you have any suggestions of things to check out (I’m a big foodie) once I am there then bonus points! Thank you in advance!
