Anyone else's school a COVID cesspool?
So many people are sick. So many kids are coming in with symptoms. So many kids aren't wearing masks properly. I have multiple students and staff members who will be missing a day this week to attend funerals for people who died from COVID.
I'm numb. I'm worried about my unvaccinated medically fragile kids getting it. I'm worried that I'm going to be attending a funeral for a child's parent after the child caught COVID at school. I'm worried about the multiple unvaccinated staff currently out with it.
I'm worried that the ERs in my town are so crowded that if I or someone I care about have a medical emergency I won't get care. It feels like we've sacrificed so much over the last two years and now we're just going to let this happen, never mind the fallout.
I'm vaccinated, boosted, and just had it (it was mild, vaccines work). I'm not worried about me. It doesn't matter if I think people are stupid for not vaccinating or not vaccinating their child, I still don't want people to get sick or die.
