Greece Visa UK

Hi everyone, I have an appointment for the Greek visa in the London office. My travel is intended for July, however I saw on their website that they are now only accepting applicants earliest 25 calendar days before the date of departure due to the number of applicants. I was wondering if anyone else with an existing appointment and a travel date for later was turned down at the applicant center. This seems a bit rash considering that only 25 days is too little to cancel if the visa is not approved or delayed.
