What characters do you feel were written out of the show poorly?

Like the title says, I am rewatching the show and I notice more and more that they struggle sometimes to write recurring characters out of the show. The number one examples to me are Lake and Dana Lewis(star) and the way they are just gotten rid of in one single episode.
