Anybody feel hopeful after the psych and cognitive exams? What was your result?

Tl;dr: how did you feel after your psych and cognitive exams? Were you approved or denied?

Longer story:

So a couple months back I had a physical exam, and it matched up with what a lot of people here experienced. I didn’t feel very hopeful afterwards, but it seems like that’s pretty normal for a lot of people.

However, my psychological exam and cognitive exam left me feeling actually kind of hopeful. I was able to explain each diagnosis for the psych exam, the limitations in my daily life, and even recent changes since I applied (I was hospitalized a couple months back, and can also no longer drive due to ptsd from a recent car accident when I could do so in the initial application).

I also felt like I proved my memory issues with the cognitive exam fairly well which… you know, sucks, because it means my memory is in a horrible state. I was actually surprised at how terrible it was and in the moment felt like crying at just how bad I was doing. But I felt like at the very least it genuinely proved I have some cognitive issues going on.

I didn’t feel as defeated as I did after the physical exam. But I don’t want to get my hopes up too high because I know most people get denied, especially when mental health is the majority of your claim (I also have migraines and insomnia). But I would LOVE to hear your experience. Did you feel positive after your psych and cognitive exams? Were you approved or denied?

Thanks! This sub has been so helpful on this journey and I appreciate you guys a lot. I guess I’ll know what happens in a couple weeks but I would love to hear your experience.
