Is constant care all day care?

Hello!

My family and I rescued a 13 year old mixed breed in Feb 2023. He was surrendered because the only human he had ever had was going into assisted living.

He was super fearful and reactive when he came to live with us but we’ve worked hard and come a long way in becoming a calm dog, although we have a ways to go.

My family and I have a 2 week vacation to Spain planned for June 2025 and I’m already freaking out about who will watch Wally.

I have an overnight sitter I have used before so I can get the nights taken care of.

Would someone be able to explain constant care to me? Am I wrong to assume the sitter stays all day (constantly ) in my home? That’s ideally what I’m looking for but I would think that would be really boring for the sitter. Could the stay from say 10am-5 pm or is that too much to ask? I would be okay stocking the fridge or would they bring their own food?

I don’t mean to be dense…just looking for an understanding of what constant care would entail.
