How involved are the Orks and the Eldar?

Just bought the game, but playing something else first.

Used to play 40K ages and ages ago, the two races I invested in were the Orks and the Eldar. Are they much of a factor in the game or is mostly the human factions and the Nids/Chaos/Necrons?
