Honelette The kitten/queen bee hybrid (NEW OC OUT NOW, rate if you want)
Honelette’s Story
Honelette was born into a vast, golden hive, surrounded by the constant hum of workers and the scent of honey. But from the moment she hatched, she was different. Her small, fur-covered paws weren’t like the others. Her ears twitched at every little sound, unlike the smooth antennae of her hive-mates. Worst of all, she had no stinger—no way to protect herself, no sign of strength in the eyes of the hive.
But the worst part? She couldn’t even speak to defend herself. She was born mute..
From the start, Honelette was treated as an outcast. The other bees ignored her, buzzing past as if she didn’t exist. The workers scoffed at her when she tried to help, her soft paws too clumsy for building. The drones looked at her with disgust, calling her useless. Even the queen, the one who was supposed to guide the hive, refused to acknowledge her as one of them.
She wanted to belong. She tried to keep up, pushing herself harder despite her tiny wings and trembling paws. She gathered pollen, only to be shoved aside. She attempted to help with hive duties, only to be met with cold stares. The rejection grew worse with time, and eventually, the hive made a decision—she wasn’t one of them.
One evening, as the golden light faded from the sky, the hive cast her out. No one stopped her as she stumbled away, eyes wide with silent fear. No one looked back as she vanished into the unknown.
Now, Honelette wanders alone. She hides in hollow trees, curling up tightly in the dark, hoping nothing will find her. Every sound makes her flinch. Every shadow feels like a threat. She wants to trust others, to believe that kindness exists, but fear is all she’s ever known.
Despite everything, she still watches the bees from afar. She still longs for the warmth of a home, even if she was never truly welcome in one.
Maybe one day, she’ll find a place where she belongs.
She is now skittish...
