Verify your identity.
Deposit $5 (or more, but minimum 5.00) into your Monzo account.
Add the Monzo virtual debit card provided to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay (so you don’t have to wait for the physical card in the mail).
Using your Apple/GPay, spend the $5 on whatever you want, at an online merchant or in-person merchant (for example: when I was referred, I spent $5 and change on snacks at 711). It can NOT be something like sending money with Venmo.
That’s it. $15 should hit your Monzo account instantly, or close to instantly (I got the push notification of $15 added to my account while I had my phone still up to the card reader at 711). You can immediately withdraw the $15 to whatever debit card or bank account you want, or just use it with your virtual Monzo card.
