Older home worth an AC install?

We seem to be one of the last houses in Portland Oregon that doesn’t have AC.

Our furnace is pushing 20 years and I’m thinking of replacing it with a system with ac . Do you think that money would increase the value of the home at all or will it just be seen as something everyone expects to be there and a cost that’s just eaten by us as purchasers of a “fixer upper “
