Lets talk shipping real quick.

I've been seeing this a lot recently, and I just want to share my own personal opinion that no one asked for. SHIPS DO NOT RUIN A STORY! BAD WRITING DOES! There have been many times when I see someone in this subreddit complaining about a fanfic they read where it sucked and blamed it on the ship. People also complain about how the Bumblebee ship ruined both Yang and Blake as characters. What needs to be said is shipping doesn't do as much to a story as people believe. In most of the bad fanfics I read with shipping in it, the problem arises more from the bad writing, how the ship seems forced and unplanned, and how the characters barely interacted beforehand, making it very jarring and unnatural. In this case, the ship wasn't the problem, how it was written was the massive problem. A counterargument to the "Bumblebee ruined Yang and Blake as characters" argument is that Yang barely had much of a personality beyond Volume 5, and Blake's entire personality Volume 7 and onward is just "Bisexual". Their personality was pretty much nonexistent before Bumblebee was really a thing, and Bumblebee was written as a forced plot device in Volume 9. The ship isn't the problem; it's the bad writing.

That said, I won't defend any ships including incest, Grimm, or massive age gaps.

Now what was that thing Iammenace said again? Oh yeah. God bless. Have a good day!
