SCLA 101

Hi, old alumni with a kid on campus. He got SCLA 101 this semester on his schedule and promptly dropped it. Are all the sections the same? His had Hamlet and Walden and a bunch of philosophers as readings, and he was going to have to write by hand in class several thousand word papers and had to do presentations. I taught ENGL 101, 102, 103, and 106 25 years ago and they were nowhere as heavy as this class. I told him to just take it later or find an Ivy Tech equivalent, but I thought I'd ask and see if all the sections had the same materials or if it was up to the TA. Thanks!
