Is this breaking Prolific rules?

This opens to a reading page with links to complete a study at either 1pm or 2pm. States it will pay £12/hr and can taken between 35-50 mins. Says will be paid as a bonus to previously completed study. Is this legit? It seem shady being done this way as there is no fall back if it goes wrong and no guarantee of payment.
