I think I have a plan

I'm writing my syllabus for next semester. This is what I'm doing. What am I missing?

Daily in class assignments that can only be done in class and cannot be made up. These are 30% of their final grade. If they are 15 mins or more late they're absent and get a zero. If they leave class early without clearing it with me first, they get a zero. If they do none of these they can still pass by getting 100 on everything else. If.

Their major research paper is worth 40% of their grade. If they don't come to class and learn how to do the necessary work they'll do poorly and fail the class.

AI work is an automatic zero with no opportunity for a redo. My only comment will be "AI". They can either prove the work is theirs with a revision history/an oral quiz while standing in front of me or take the L.

I'm done dealing with lateness and students that just, bafflingly, get up and leave class early without a word. This is the first semester I've experienced it and it's going to be the last. I'm also done with students that only come to some classes but do all the work. I'm passing 2 of them this semester and that's definitely over. I'm also over "This doesn't seem like your writing. It reads like AI. We'll need to have a conversation if I'm wrong." None of them have ever taken me up on the conversation. They just take the zero.

I'm sure my friend brain is missing something.
