Why Goku exactly…? Genuine question

Might be an incredibly dumb question so apologies, but why is it that Goku has such a strong presence/impact when it comes to power scaling then say, Superman? Isn’t he stronger than Goku according to the Nerds of the High Order? I love Goku a lot so it’s absolutely no shade to either him or Supes I just wanted to know the lore
