why is this separation happening when i apply clear glaze over my underglaze?

it ends up being suuuper splotchy post-fire as well. the black underglaze that’s underneath is just the amaco velvet in jet black! urgent help, this is a christmas gift so i’d like to find a way to glaze this piece as soon as possible!! thank you!!
