Curious about getting into Pixel art, but I hear developers take full control of what you make, is this true?

I've been told by other ex-infinite fusion pixel art creators that art they made will never be removed from the game despite their wishes, is this true?

I just feel weird about giving full ownership to the developers, I love this game but I just wanted to make sure beforehand.
