Leaking Water Heater

We had to replace our original water heater due to our water pressure being too high and causing it to break/leak. We had a new water heater installed about 2 years ago, however, during the winter if we use large amounts of hot water (long showers/baths) it increases the pressure in our water heater and causes it to leak from the bottom seam. The pressure valve will also sometimes release.

Is this normal for colder months or should we have someone take a look at it? TYIA
