Fresh plaster, do I complain?
we've had quite a bit of structural work done and not sure if I should expect some of this or should ask to get it re-done. 1. The plaster above the new bifolds isn't level 2. Plaster on bifold reveal is showing the board crease plus imperfections on the bead 2. The plaster around the new steel beams isn't level 3. "Waves" in the ceiling 4. Crack in the ceiling, assuming it's a settlement crack 5. Settlement cracks in walls
We've had a 7m steel put in, welded to a 3or4m steel. We also had an entire bedroom re-joisted. so I'm expecting settlement upstairs. But should I be expecting all of these cracks downstairs? We've just had it painted so I'm a bit pissed off that I'm getting more and more settlement cracks after painting it 🙈.
Do I just accept the waves in the ceiling or is that poor workmanship?
I think I'm prepared to accept the slightly wonky boxing around the steel beams but the plaster above the bifolds probz half an inch to am inch from being level, could I expect that to bite me in the long run if I keep it as is? Or should it be re done properly?
I'm not expecting perfection but I had a plasterer round yesterday (for a separate job) and he thought it was a bit of a piss take but I'm just not sure just how far to take it, whether it might be worth telling them to get Christmas out the way and then redoing some of this (I don't want a bomb site over Christmas of course).
Any advice would be appreciated
