Will this method work for growing a Christmas moss wall?

I read some posts that said Xmas moss would do well for an aquarium divider but now I’m seeing a lot of people saying that it won’t attach well. I’ve been kinda weaving them into the mesh with tweezers. Do I need to make it more dense? https://i.imgur.com/epvcEM2.jpg
