3 month old rescue tips

I have a new little baby at home! He’s a rescue. 3 month old American pit bull terrier I foster failed from my job at the animal shelter. He’s a huge sweetie with a ton of energy. He’s my shadow. I want to be the best mommy possible to this little one so I’m open to fear free handling tips. Currently I am:

Taking him on two daily walks Crating him at night next to my bed Offering lots of teething toys Socializing him with other people Practicing commands Staying with him when he eats to hopefully prevent development of resource guarding Potty training

Puppy school is high on my radar. His nipping and occasionally barking is driving me crazy lol. It’s silly to me but I sincerely don’t want to scare non-dog people. He was rescued from a domestic violence situation so he does not bite but he gets a little wary when men are near me. I would really appreciate any tips. As we all know despite how sweet our pups are they won’t get the same breaks as more “popular “ breeds
