How do you all read, summarize & organize all of your readings for a literature review?

Context : writing a review paper, and while I am making progress I feel like I am all over the place. I saw some people using excel to track all of their readings, I’ve seen some other make flash cards on specific topics. What strategies worked best for you? (US based)
