Not taking these rejection letters well
Hi everyone,
First time posting in this sub and honestly a bit bummed. Applied to 26-27 PhD programs and already has 9 come back as rejected. Applied to programs in the US, Canada, and Europe, thought I even had a decent shot at making it into a program (3.4GPA Master's, 12000 research hours minimum, multiple co-authorships). Reviewers I had seemed to describe me as exceptional. I may still get into a program but honestly some of these programs were ideal and it's disappointing I didn't make it into them.
If people don't mind, how many programs did each apply to and what were your success rates getting in? What were your stats comparatively? What are my odds of getting into a program realistically with that many applications? Not asking for much, just need one program that way I can finish my education and go back into pharma/biotech.
Thanks y'all.
